Fruit smoothies can be a healthy treat for kids as the weather warms up. You can buy bags of frozen fruit year-round. Frozen fruit retains many of its natural vitamins and nutrients and it is usually about the same price as the fresh fruit. Buy bags of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries, which are all packed with vitamins and antioxidants. You can also freeze fresh fruit yourself. Just cut it up before you freeze it, so it is easier to puree in the blender. When you and the kids are ready for smoothies all you need to do is add frozen fruit, a little water, and yogurt to the blender. Puree your mixture, and enjoy your cool, healthy treat.
