Fish is Good for Kids

People have known about the health benefits of fish for years. Fish is rich in Omega-3 oils, and are a lean source of protein. Omega-3’s found in fish are also good for brain development, which is why it is recommended that pregnant and breastfeeding women take a daily fish oil supplement. For these reasons, fish is also a healthy and beneficial food choice for kids. Choose fish that have lower levels of mercury, and are safest to eat. A good choice is salmon. Try adding fish to your kids’ diet a couple times each week. Fish is easy for young toddlers to eat by themselves, and you may find that they just love it!
