Incorporating Stretching Throughout Your Day
Stretching is easily forgotten about and neglected. It is important to make sure we are stretching everyday, especially before and after we exercise. Many people do not spend adequate time stretching before and after their workouts, and end up getting injuries that could have been prevented. A good time to stretch is while you are already sitting on the floor playing with your kids. Alternate between playing with the toy trucks and ponies, and doing some nice long hamstring stretches. You can do leg, torso and upper-body stretches while you are on the floor with your kids. Staying limber will help mitigate injuries, and help you to perform better while you are exercising.
